WUDRome is an inclusive event and welcomes all people regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, build, race, or religion (or its absence). We firmly believe that every point of view is important and we want to know it because it’s the only possible way to guarantee the development of a sustainable and accessible world.We ask participants, speakers, sponsors and volunteers of World Usability Day Rome and nois3 srl initiatives to agree with the following code of conduct.The organizers will enforce this code during all related events and initiatives. We expect cooperation from every participant in helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everybody.

The quick Version

Our initiatives and events are designed to provide a harassment-free experience for anyone regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, build, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of participants in our initiatives and events in any form. Sexual language and images are not appropriate at any of our venues and events, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online and offline media and communication environments. Participants in our initiatives and events who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from our initiatives and events without a refund at the discretion of the organizers of the individual initiatives.

The Long Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, build, race, religion, sexual images in public places, intentional intimidation, stalking, stalking, harassing photographs or recordings, continuous interruptions of talk or other events, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, and any attitude that incites any of the above behaviors.Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, build, race, religion, sexual images in public places, intentional intimidation, stalking, stalking, harassing photographs or recordings, continuous interruptions of talk or other events, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, and any attitude that incites any of the above behaviors.Participants who are asked to stop any harassing behavior are required to comply immediately.Sponsors are also required to comply with this anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use images, activities, or any other sexual material.If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take whatever action they deem appropriate, including warning the person responsible for the action or expelling him or her from the conference without refund.We expect participants to follow these rules in all our initiatives and events.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF HARASSMENT
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have other concerns, please contact a member of the initiative staff immediately.The initiative staff will be happy to help those who are being harassed feel safe for the duration of the initiative.
